Team Bios: Rebecca Agner

Manager, Strategic Communications

Rebecca has been with ElectriCities since 2004. During that time, she has been responsible for planning, executing and delivering corporate communications and city communications projects. Recently, Rebecca has guided the company's comprehensive communications plan and advertising strategy, worked with members to achieve their local communications goals, and managed electronic communications for the organization.

Rebecca has experience in both city and county government structures. Before she joined ElectriCities, Rebecca was a public information/personnel officer and town clerk at the Town of Knightdale; director of public affairs for Alexander County Schools; and a senior banking executive and assistant vice president with Bank of America.

Rebecca holds a master of arts degree in English, technical and professional communication from East Carolina University and a bachelor of science in business administration and finance from Appalachian State University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the North Carolina Chapter.
