ElectriCities releases 2012 calendar featuring the finest BBQ from across NC

January 04, 2012

Raleigh, NC, January 5, 2012 – ElectriCities is proud to present the 2012 NC Public Power calendar: “NC BBQ: Tradition, History, Craftsmanship.”

Celebrating authentic Carolina cuisine and culture, this dynamic calendar features an overview of the history of our state’s love affair with all things pig told by legendary pitmaster (and Wilson native) Ed Mitchell. Each month’s spread includes mouth-watering photography (photographed by North Carolina native Bryan Regan) and stories from locally renowned restaurants in NC Public Power communities from Boone to Windsor.

In addition, each spread features a QR code for site selectors and economic developers to scan with their smartphones, linking them to a website with valuable information about each community as well as available commercial properties and land ripe for development! There is also a custom Facebook wall accessible from the website where readers can interact and discuss their favorite NC Public Power communities and restaurants.

“I am thrilled to share our tradition of Southern hospitality in NC Public Power Communities via this calendar,” said Brenda Daniels, manager of Economic Development. “Economic developers and site selectors across the country will be able to see what we’re all about and bring companies and jobs to our communities."
