NC’s Public Power Communities Prepare
for Winter Storm
Raleigh, NC, February 1, 2007 – North Carolina
public power communities are prepared for snow, sleet and freezing
rain that may affect our communities Thursday and Friday. Our communities
monitor weather forecasts and prepare for prompt restoration of
interrupted electric service. During times of outages, public power
communities work together to restore power as quickly as possible
using the Emergency Assistance Program. Cities that are not affected
by the weather travel and assist those that are affected by the
weather conditions.
