Sealed bids will be received by ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. on behalf of a group of its members which are North Carolina local governmental units, at its offices until 2:00 PM, EST, September 28, 2007, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for:

Conductor

A copy of the Request for Bids #8/23/2007-cw, which provides information to prospective bidders, including the conductor specifications, may be obtained by calling Clarice Wilson (919) 760-6293..

A group of local governmental units has joined together to solicit bids from a preferred vendor from which Participating Members may purchase Conductor as provided in the Request for Bids. The local governmental units participating in this bid include: Apex, Kings Mountain, New Bern, Rocky Mount, Shelby, Statesville, and Washington. Approximately 1 million feet of conductor may be purchased by the local governmental units that will be responsible to place with the successful bidder, their own, separate purchase order for conductor (“Purchasing Member”).

Bidders are to have and maintain all licenses, permits and insurance required to do business in the State of North Carolina.

Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. Attention Clarice C. Wilson, CLGPO, 1427 Meadow Wood Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27604. The outside of the envelope must be clearly marked with the Bid Number, Name of the Bid and date and time of the bid opening. You may also submit your bid via AURSI, please contact me for further information. Late bids will not be considered.

ElectriCities reserve the right to reject any and all bids on behalf of the local governmental units and to waive any informalities.
