NCMPA1 has issued two separate requests for proposals (RFPs) for additional power supply resources to serve a portion of its member cities’ future load and energy requirements.
Renewable Energy Resources
NCMPA1 is seeking energy from renewable energy resources beginning on or after January 1, 2012 generated from any renewable energy facility that meet the requirements of North Carolina Session Law 2007-397 (“Senate Bill 3”). Solar resource proposals will be accepted with start dates on or after January 1, 2010.

NCMPA1 is seeking up to 200 MW of firm peaking capacity beginning on January 1, 2009 and thereafter.
