When you first think of Cornelius, NC, it’s hard not to think of “lake living.” But there’s so much more to this special place than just Lake Norman. Founded in 1893 and incorporated in 1905, Cornelius is the second youngest of Mecklenburg County’s six incorporated towns. It’s a highly diverse community with 10 public parks, a wide variety of housing opportunities, vibrant retail and office space and a championship golf course. Cornelius boasts 54 miles of Lake Norman shoreline with boat, jet ski and paddleboard rentals, several marinas, great waterfront dining, antique shopping and at least five craft breweries close by. All conveniently located just north of Charlotte off Interstate 77.

Laketoberfest is a big, fun party for the whole family on the shores of beautiful Lake Norman. And everyone will dig (and dig into) the great food supplied by food trucks. Best of all, admission is free and proceeds benefit Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists.
