Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose of Policy

This policy states acceptable content for the ElectriCities lobby video display board. The Strategic Communications Department is responsible for reviewing and placing all content on the display board. Requests for exceptions to this policy and possible additions must be coordinated through the manager of Strategic Communications.

Acceptable Content

  • ElectriCities employee birthday and anniversary announcements (posted monthly)
  • Corporate calendar items, including team meetings, governing board meetings and training classes
  • Marketing and Economic Development news and announcements
  • ElectriCities, member cities or individual awards, articles and accomplishments related to the business
  • ElectriCities promotional materials
  • Available economic development sites
  • Power Agency plant output and load
  • Commodity price (utility-related) and interest rate feeds
  • Adverse weather preparation/restoration activities
  • ElectriCities videos
  • PHEV
  • Special announcements from HR, such as early closing notices or reminders about building work

During world events or weather emergencies, screen will
display television feed from the sources below:

  • World Events – CNN
  • Weather – The Weather Channel
  • Market News – CNBC

Personal announcements and for sale advertisements are not acceptable content and cannot be included on the display board.

Content Updates

Content updates will be made weekly on Mondays.
Updated material in any approved content category should be e-mailed to lobby@electricities.org.

Corporate calendar items, including team meetings, governing board meetings and training classes will be pulled weekly from the ElectriCities Corporate Calendar in Outlook. Any items to be included on the display must be on the Corporate Calendar. Requests submitted with less than one week’s notice will be added to the bottom feed rather than the main display.
