Engineer I
Salary Range: $76,460.80 – $118,518.40
Anticipated Salary Range: $76,460.80 – $97,489.60
Engineer II
Salary Range: $89,232.00 – $138,278.40
Anticipated Salary Range: $89,232.00 – $113,755.20
Primary Responsibilities
- Planning and design of GUC’s substation, generation, and communications systems
- Project development and technical work in the operation of substation and control systems
- Assist the Substation Engineer, Substation Engineering Coordinator and other engineering personnel with design and cost analysis for substation, generation, and control systems projects
- Administration and integration of SCADA
- Develop and maintain engineering and operations standards and procedures for the substation group
- Project management duties as assigned – Responsible for timeline, cost, procurement and documentation
- Evaluation of bid packages and specifying equipment and materials
- CADD documentation of design work and field work
Job Requirements
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Engineer I
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
- One year of related experience.
- Eligible to test for certification/licensure as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of North Carolina within 6 months of employment.
- A valid driver’s license
Engineer II
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
- Over four years of experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of North Carolina.
- A valid driver’s license.
