The City of Rocky Mount

SITUATION: The City of Rocky Mount has been a center of economic growth in eastern North Carolina for more than 150 years. The chamber of commerce and other business leaders here wanted to renew interest and investment in the town by demonstrating its commitment to rededicating itself to economic growth by promoting the town as an ideal location for companies big and small alike to do business.

SOLUTION: Mayor, David Combs, City Manager, Charles Penny and Director Of Energy Resources, Richard Worsinger asked us to help spread the word about Rocky Mount’s desires to promote its skilled workforce and the infrastructure the city has in place that makes it an ideal location to start new businesses and expand existing operations. We worked with these town leaders and others who are proud to call Rocky Mount home to produce a video that gives it the reverence and acknowledgement it deserves as a city not content to rest on its laurels.

RESULT: The video has been produced and has been very well-received. The town is hoping this effort will help Rocky Mount seize the momentum it has experienced as a result of leading transportation services corporation, CSX, developing a multi-million-dollar, state-of-the-art intermodal hub and transfer facility here. Known as the Carolina Connector (CCX), this massive freight rail infrastructure project will highlight the competitive advantages of doing business in Rocky Mount and the surrounding area’s businesses and ports, while serving the rapidly growing metro-Raleigh area.
