Designed for Power Agency members, the Public Power Promotional Program—or P4—provides funds used to promote public power in their communities. P4 is an annual reimbursement program that restarts on Jan. 1 each year.
The amount a Power Agency member is eligible for each year depends on the number of customers that utility serves:
•Fewer than 5,000 meters = $1,500
•5,000 to 10,000 meters = $2,000
•More than 10,000 meters = $2,500
Because P4 is a reimbursement program, ElectriCities requires documentation in the form of paid invoices or receipts to provide the funding (see form below).
Please fill out the form below and attach all receipts or paid invoices from your purchase(s) to apply for P4 funding. Please note that projects are only eligible for reimbursement if they clearly demonstrate the value of public power and/or the local utility (see “Project Description” in form below).
Looking for ideas? Here are some ways communities may use P4 funds:
- Giveaway items with the utility name and logo for employees or community members.
- Public Power Week (1st full week of October) supplies (banners, t-shirts, etc.).
- Sponsorship of a local festival, scholarship, or youth sports team where the electric utility name and logo is featured.
- Community education events where the electric utility is featured or the overall value of being a public power community is highlighted.
- Production costs related to public power awareness campaign (video, print, social media, radio). Check out advertising examples and more on the Value of Public Power dashboard.
