Celebrate Lineworker
Appreciation Days

Lineworkers are our hometown heroes. They are skilled professionals who do what needs to be done to keep the electricity flowing to homes and businesses in our communities. The work they do—often in grueling and dangerous conditions—powers our lives.

Join us in celebrating lineworkers and all the service they provide to our communities on Monday, April 13, for North Carolina Lineworker Appreciation Day, and Saturday, April 18, for National Lineworker Appreciation Day.

ElectriCities members can access resources including local resolution templates, coloring pages, press release templates, social media messages, and more in the Value of Public Power Dashboard (login required) to build enthusiasm and appreciation for lineworkers in your community.

While you’re here, take a minute to read some of the notes of appreciation to our lineworkers and add one of your own.

If you have any questions, please email us at communications@electricities.org.

Thank you for all of your hard work. Especially in times of bad weather and when you guys have to spend so much time away from your families. You put your own safety at risk so that we are taken care of. We love and appreciate you all. Tell your families thank you as well.

They Are hardworking people that make sure we don't stay in the dark long. They don't care what time it is, they are coming to fix our power that went out during a storm. Whatever the situation is, we can always count on them to get us back from the dark to light.

Hello, line workers and all the people out public view: I appreciate you! I’ve seen a lot of you working from trucks, way up in the air, doing whatever needs to be done! I’m so thankful to have access to electricity! Yay, yay! (And water, too!) I know you are in danger lots of times, I pray you will always get home safely. Thanks bunches, every one of you! Liz B
