Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards

Our story matters. Communications Awards winners stand out for their commitment to raising awareness of public power through exceptional storytelling. The 2020 Award winners were announced at APPA’s virtual Customer Connections Conference in October 2020. Our winners were among forty-two public power electric utilities and utility organizations recognized by the APPA this year. A full list of winners can be viewed here.

Smart Energy Providers

APPA’S Smart Energy Provider Program recognizes public power utilities for their commitment to and proficiency in four areas: smart energy program planning; energy efficiency and distributed energy resources; environmental and sustainability programs; and customer communication and education. Communities who excel in best practices earn the Smart Energy Provider honor.  The winners for 2020 were honored at the virtual Customer Connections Conference held in October 2020.  An awards video and full list public power utilities that currenlty hold the title of Smart Energy Provider can be found here.
