Celebrate Lineworker
Appreciation Days

Lineworkers are our hometown heroes. They are skilled professionals who do what needs to be done to keep the electricity flowing to homes and businesses in our communities. The work they do—often in grueling and dangerous conditions—powers our lives.

Join us in celebrating lineworkers and all the service they provide to our communities on Monday, April 13, for North Carolina Lineworker Appreciation Day, and Saturday, April 18, for National Lineworker Appreciation Day.

ElectriCities members can access resources including local resolution templates, coloring pages, press release templates, social media messages, and more in the Value of Public Power Dashboard (login required) to build enthusiasm and appreciation for lineworkers in your community.

While you’re here, take a minute to read some of the notes of appreciation to our lineworkers and add one of your own.

If you have any questions, please email us at communications@electricities.org.

To all the lineworkers in the VALDESE AND DREXEL AREA WHO TAKE CARE OF US, WE NEED TO SAY THANK YOU MORE OFTEN THAN WE DO NOW. You’re the true heroes when the weather gets bad and you don’t get the proper praise from the people who benefit from your work and your efforts to keep our community safe and working.
